Park of culture and recreation named after T.G. Shevchenko, Rivne

Taras Shevchenko Park is a monument of landscape art of national importance in Ukraine, conveniently located on 32 hectares in the heart of our city. Here everyone will find something to their liking: a variety of greenery, sports and children's playgrounds, fountains, the tourist and entertainment complex "Mysterious Underground of Rivne," attractions, and more. Nowadays, families of forced migrants with children also visit the park.

The park was founded at the end of the 18th century, and to this day, the age of individual trees reaches 150-200 years. There are 160 species of trees and shrubs, many of which are exotic - North American (Engelmann fir, eastern white pine, Catalpa, ash-leaf maple, red oak), Far Eastern (Amur velvet), South European (European forsythia, edible chestnut), evergreen), species from China and Japan, Central Asia (eastern biota, Sullange magnolia, tall ailanthus, Japanese quince).

In the early 1950s, the park significantly expanded its territory, and in 1977-1984, park reconstruction took place, adding new species. A cascade of pools with fountains surrounded by willows was created. The park has about 5540 trees and 14200 shrubs; in the spring of 2000, 670 trees (fir, pine, thuja, birch, lime, maple) and 50 shrubs were planted.

During the full-scale invasion, the park's development is frozen, but its workers take care of it every day.
